No one escapes adversity. All of our stories are marked with heartache, disappointment, hurt, and pain. Yet when we experience painful circumstances, whether in a moment or sustained over years, the world tells us to toughen up, forget about our trauma, and move on.
The truth is, if we don’t deal with our past, it will deal with us. Until we go back and heal what hurts, our trauma will continue to negatively impact our present and our future. But parallel to our shared familiarity with adversity is our shared ability to heal.
At Onsite, we believe there is nothing that you cannot heal from. The pain and traumas of your past do not have to define you. But in order to heal, you need to feel.
Our six-day Healing Trauma Program is designed to help you address the emotional pain, compulsive behavior cycles, and disconnection that often follows a traumatic experience. This world-renowned group experiential program provides you with the education and innovative tools necessary to support your recovery journey.
The Healing Trauma Program is right for you if…
- You’ve experienced a traumatic event or historical, ongoing trauma from living in a traumatic environment
- You find yourself doing things to numb or distract you from your feelings
- You can’t find the forgiveness you need to move forward
- You’re feeling the wear and tear of your mental state on your body
- You are noticing circular thought patterns around traumatic past
- You feel like your healing journey is plateaued
- You experience loss of appetite, lack of sleep, increased anxiety, hypervigilance, or depression
- You feel unsure how to move forward
Today, we know that trauma is a much broader phenomenon than was once imagined.
Trauma is defined as any experience that creates feelings of overwhelmingness and/or an event that is perceived as life-threatening.
No two people have the same reaction to traumatic experiences. Yet, an often-shared hallmark of trauma is a sense of loss of connection to ourselves, our bodies, our families, others, and even to the world around us. The Healing Trauma Program is an invitation to reconnect with yourself in the safety of community.
“The Healing Trauma Program gave me self-awareness. It has helped me acknowledge my traumas without being a victim.” — Kellie, Healing Trauma Program Alumni
“I left Onsite a changed person. I felt alive again and full of hope. I left feeling seen, heard, and accepted. Not only by the staff, but also by the strangers that became my family. The sacrifices I had to make in order to come to Onsite are ones I would make again in a heartbeat. I will never be able to express the hope that my healing has brought me.” — Nancy, Healing Trauma Program Alumni
Our registration process includes a screening by our clinical staff to make sure the Healing Trauma Program is safe and appropriate for your needs. Onsite’s unique retreat-type community setting provides a safe environment for discovering the self, practicing new behaviors, setting boundaries, avoiding distractions, and being nurtured with comfortable surroundings and nutritious meals. The Healing Trauma Program is not designed to treat primary addiction. Rather, it is a program for self-improvement and self-worth.
